"2012"

Hey again, this is a double feature blog post! lol I had some free time. I also got the opportunity to check out the disaster film "2012" its premise was "Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. A global cataclysm brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors." I thought this was interesting seeing that disaster movies are one of my favorite genres. So I checked it out, and thought it was great! finally a movie that gives you just what you paid your money for. From watching the trailer a few weeks back and anticipating the movie i could only pray the trailer didn't give away too much. The film was an exciting joyride from start to finish. At times it was a bit too predictable and sometimes a bit too fictional but you can see the director tried to make this as believable as possible and you can appreciate that. I recommend this movie it makes for a great date movie and wont bore your date to death. Enjoy!

"The Box"

OK, Folks havent made a post in ages, but its for good reason, ive been working really hard on several productions (which i will put up). I finally got time to catch a few flicks like "The Box". "The Box" is film about an unhappily married couple who receive a small wooden box on their doorstep. At the push of a button, the box brings its bearer instant wealth but also instantly kills someone the bearer doesn't know. Now this premise was so intriguing to me, when i saw the trailer i saw this as a "Saw" movie for the mind. It just turned out to be a confusing mess! the movie was so hard to follow, there were so many twist and turns that lead nowhere that your mind felt as though it was in a maze and what made it more absurd was when you reach the end of the film and feel a great void. Now we all know that the movie was based on a short story entitled "Button Button" by Richard Matheson which also enspired the Twilight Zone episode "button button". A way you could describe this movie is as one long twilight zone episode except you dont have the soothing words of Rod Sterling at the end. I dont suggest you waste your time watching this movie unless you like confusion!
